Lawrence MaltzTo carry out the company's international expansion in Asia, Cold Stone has partnered with Lawrence Maltz, Chairman of Borderless Investment Group, Inc., to form Cold Stone Creamery Asia.  Maltz was the original COO of Starbucks Coffee Company and has considerable experience introducing American brands in Asia.  After retirement from Starbucks, Borderless Investment Group facilitated Starbucks' entry into the Asia Pacific region. Maltz founded and was Chairman of the first Starbucks Company in China and Krispy Kreme in Australia and New Zealand.  Additionally, Maltz was involved in the first Kinko's operation in China.

Ken Burk

Ken BurkKen Burk has been a Director of Cold Stone Creamery since November 1994.  Mr. Burk has 34 years of food service experience in manufacturing, distribution, brokerage operations and retail operations.  He was the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Cold Stone Leasing from 1998-2002.  Prior to Cold Stone Creamery, Ken was the Western Division General Manager of Mitsui Foods (an importer of food products), the Director of National Multi-unit Accounts with Sysco Food Service (a food service distributor) and the General Manager of Retail Operations for Desert Subway (which operated several Subway® sandwich shop franchises).  Mr. Burk majored in Marketing and Advertising at San Jose State University in San Jose, California.

Quentin P. Smith, Jr.Mr. Smith is President of Cadre Business Advisors LLC, a professional management consulting firm with an emphasis on strategic planning, business development and performance improvement, and crisis management.  In addition to operating Cadre, he is the founder of the Arizona Business Accelerator, Inc. an intellectual property development and commercialization resource organization.  He has over thirty years experience in providing public and privately-held businesses and governmental agencies with professional business consulting services, developing operating growth strategies, and resolving important management issues.  His corporate experience includes eight years in various strategic planning and IT managerial roles at Southern California Edison, Hughes Aircraft, MCA-Universal, and Great Western Savings (Washington Mutual).  Mr. Smith received his Bachelors degree in Industrial Management and Computer Science from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University and his Masters degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

Lydia A. ArandaLydia Aranda is Vice President and Regional Director of Diverse Growth Segments for Wells Fargo, overseeing strategic growth and development in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.  Ms. Aranda has over 20 years in national and global marketing, business development and client relations with strengths in creating exceptional client relationships; developing and maintaining strong business/community alliances; launching e-business/IT implementations; and significant experience in strategic development.  In 2004 she was named one of the Business Journal's Forty Under 40 honorees, as well as a Valley Influential, highlighting her as one of the best and brightest young professionals of Arizona, who is building the state's future. Ms. Aranda earned national acclaim with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber's Leadership and Excellence Awards as the 2004 Government Hispanic Business Advocate of the Year.  She has also been named the ASU Latina Excellence Awards' 2005 Woman of the Year, has received the 2005 Bridgebuilder Award by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in Arizona, and was named the 2005 Individual Minority Business Advocate of the Year by the Arizona Minority Business Development Center (AMBDC).  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Intercultural Communication from ASU.
